Centre West Office Directions
From Newcastle City Centre
- Head west on the A186 (Westgate Road) from city centre
- Located just off St James’ Boulevard (A189)
- Continue along Westgate Road for a mile (passing Newcastle General Hospital on your right) until you come to a mini roundabout in the road where you will see The Beacon on your left
Travelling from the South on the A1 Motorway
- On the A1 Motorway heading North, take the exit for the A184 for Gateshead/ Newcastle city centre
- Crossing the bridge A189 (St James’ Boulevard into Newcastle City centre
- Take a left on the A186 (Westgate Road) from the city centre heading West
- Continue along Westgate Road for a mile (passing Newcastle General Hospital on your right) until you come to a mini roundabout in the road where you will see The Beacon
Travelling from the North on the A1 Motorway
- On the A1 Motorway heading South, take the exit for the A186 Newcastle City Centre
- Heading East along the A186 (West Road) continue for 2 miles
- You’ll come to a mini roundabout (at Wingrove Avenue) The Beacon building is located on your right – please note the entrance to the car park is before you get to the roundabout so keep an eye out
Travelling by bus
- From Central Station you can get buses 10, 11 and 38 from Pilgrim Street, Grainger Street and Neville Street.
- Bus Numbers 39 and 40 can be boarded from John Dobson Street, Blackett Street or the Gallowgate (near St James’ Park)
- All buses stop at the General Hospital (just passed the bowling alley), continue walking up Westgate Road; cross the traffic lights and the Beacon can be found on your left just at the mini roundabout.
