Hat-Trick has recently been awarded £16,951 from the People's Postcode Lottery.
This funding boost comes from the Postcode Community Trust and will help Hat-Trick to engage young people to develop their sports coaching skills and increase their chances of gaining qualifications and awards leading to further employment opportunities.
Michael Gardner, Hat-Trick's Volunteer Co-ordinator, said "receiving this funding from the People's Postcode Community Trust is a massive help towards our objectives as a charity. We believe all young people, no matter their circumstances, should have the chance to gain qualifications, work experience and ultimately employment". Hat-Trick use sport as a hook to engage the most hard to reach young people in Newcastle upon Tyne.
Michael also thanked those people who play the Postcode Lottery, with this funding Hat-Trick will now be able to provide sports courses and help increase the employability skills of our many volunteers.
