Lifetime Training Apprentice Recruit of the year award 2022 – Annemarie

One of Hat-Tricks very own community sports coaches Annemarie was recently nominated for Lifetime Training Recruit of the year award 2022.

She is currently about to enter the gateway of her Level 3 Community Sport and Health Officer (CSHO) with Coach Core, which will be the next chapter in her Journey within Hat-Trick.

Being nominated for the award her Mentor wrote…

“Annemarie achieved a Distinction in her Community Activator Coach apprenticeship, before starting her level 3 community sport and health officer apprenticeship. She has applied for many funding bids which may not only allow her to run new programmes, but source vital funding.”

We asked Annemarie what she thought about being nominated she replied…

“I feel proud to be nominated. Knowing that I have a great team around me including Managers, Colleagues and Mentors shows we all do a great job in our industry. Being a finalist and making it in the top 3 is a huge achievement.”.

Annemarie was invited down to Bristol where she attended the awards held at the Grand Mercure Hotel where there were 12 other awards for different categories supported by Lifetime Training, along with all 36 finalists.

Annemarie had to have a panel interview with two lifetime training judges in her category who asked questions about her role, what she wanted to achieve and why she does the job she does.

The judges chose Annemarie as the winner of this award as they saw the apprenticeship had not only helped with professional development but had also helped with personal growth as both were evident in the panel interview. They could see this would have a great impact on the next apprentices.

Advice from Annemarie on opportunities through apprenticeships.

“I would tell other apprentices to get everything out of the apprenticeship. Extra courses, webinars etc. This allows us to offer the best experience to the young people we coach in the community.”

Congratulations Annemarie and well done on winning this award.
